A Life-stage Discipleship Group (LDG) is a group of adults that gathers during the Sunday morning education hour for interactive Bible teaching.

Life-stage Discipleship provides:
An opportunity to meet other adults who share a common life situation and discover paths to friendship, fellowship and service here at Community Presbyterian Church. Current groups include the following:

Young Adults/Early Career (singles and couples 23+)
Single Adults (35+)
Young Couples/New Parents
Parents of Elementary/Early Teens
Parents of Older Teens/Young Adults
New Vistas (couples and singles 50+)
Seasoned Saints (65+)

An opportunity to learn, as you journey through a biblical curriculum organized around core beliefs and practices of the Christian Faith.  The core courses for the 06-08 learning cycle are based on Community Presbyterian Church’s “disciplines of a disciple” (The Four S’s):

• Student—based on the Gospel of Matthew, we will learn from Jesus how to think biblically.
• Steward—based on the Gospel of Luke, we will learn from Jesus how to live generously.
• Servant—based on the Gospel of Mark, we will learn from Jesus how to love sacrificially.
• Sower—based on the Gospel of John, we will learn from Jesus how to impact our world authentically.

These quarter-long core courses cycle through all the Life-stage Discipleship groups over two years, alternating with elective courses. Elective courses usually relate to the life situation and interests of the group, and are chosen by the group’s leadership team. See course schedule for details and class locations.
